SYNOPSIS:

ACT 1:

We meet in the middle of the story with Anna and Jacob at a hotel in Manila, Philippines. They are preparing to return to Oklahoma. Then we go back two weeks earlier, where Anna first learns about the death of her father in the Philippines from a typhoon. Her aunt invites her to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to meet her brother, Jacob, for the first time since she was 18. Anna accepts the offer to fly with Jacob to the Philippines to retrieve their father’s body and uncover the mystery of his death.

ACT 2:

As the two travel together, we learn more about their separate histories and future goals; an attraction is brewing under the surface as we flashback to intense, sexually charged memories at Grand Lake. Upon arrival, they meet Imelda, the sole survivor of the typhoon that killed their father. They learn about her past and connection to their father. Imelda leads them to where they discover their father’s ashes, and along the way, they encounter Imelda’s past. A dangerous encounter and a near escape from a resort reveal intense emotions and a shared traumatic experience. When Anna and Jacob finally arrive at their father’s house to learn more about his past, the two become trapped by a hurricane and an erotic connection.

ACT 3:

We’re back at the beginning with Anna and Jacob at a hotel in Manila. Jacob decides to extend his stay in the Philippines, while Anna returns to Oklahoma. She attends the funeral and adopts Imelda. We end with the two visiting Jacob at Grand Lake. What will become of them now?
