SYNOPSIS:

ACT 1

Cristian Saccoccio, a mechanic barely getting by is late at his workplace with his womaniser friend Nico and misogynistic old boss Ross. Entering Ana’s bar where belligerent bar owner Julian is working he and Cristian spot a dim witted mobster Silvio sulking over failing to take a man out on his boss’s order because the guy he is meant to take out isn’t gay.Cristian gets ready to make a move on his crush, Ana Gutiérrez. Cristian goes to ask her out however his subtle smooth attempts go over her head, momentarily defeated he is helped by an aging and failing rapper Jackson. Cristian gets the confidence to ask Ana out straight forward, from behind his estranged young son Victorio Erico ‘Eric’ Saccoccio appears ruining his attempt.In the Saccoccio apartment the next morning, Cristian finds out from his son, that Cristian’s ex and Eric’s mother Courtnery Saunders mother got sent to rehab by her own dealer who got annoyed and tired off her. Eric is unimpressed with his father’s shabby apartment as well as the fact he is no longer in his private school and in a public school. Eric lashes out at his father and goes to school. Cristian at work shares his problem to his co-workers who despite well-meaning give poor parental advice. Meanwhile Eric in school shows his genius in class and earns the wrath of local school bully Joshua Obregón, unable to connect to the less intelligent kids, Eric befriends Tobais another gifted child before getting beaten up off screen.Eric returns to Cristian who is shocked and angry. Cristian’s over the top macho way of handing the matter makes Eric even more upset leading to another argument between father and son. Despite Cristian trying his best to be a father.

ACT 2

Cristian tries to get Eric used to his new neighbourhood, however from comical misunderstandings and Eric’s own more intelligent education; Eric struggles to connect and sulks even more. Using the bad advice from his co workers Cristian tries to explain the neighbourhood to Eric but fails. Eric spots Tobias and heads off with Tobias not wanting to be with his father.Cristian goes back to the bar Ana works at where he is comically supported by a bar tender trying to be a cliché stereotype Julian. Nico tries flirting with a woman in the bar and strikes out resulting in Nico coming over. Cristian moans about his problem of Eric not liking the shabby apartment, Silvio comes over having overheard and offers a job to move some ‘completely legal’ furniture from his boss’s warehouse. Cristian wanting to win over his son agrees and Nico offers to tag along.

ACT 3

The trio of men arrive at the warehouse to move the furniture goods only to run into termites and are spotted by passing police. The three men hide but are outed by the termites that leads into a comical foot chase of the three men by the police. During which Nico looses his trousers after realising g he has left his belt at a romantic conquest’s house and Silvio looses a shoe. After getting caught on a washing line, the three men escape from the police and get away.Returning to the apartment blocks Eric spots his father in a comical moment with the other two men and storms off embarrassed and annoyed with his father. Cristian finally snaps with Eric causing Eric to run off. Cristian angry with himself goes after unaware an elderly lady Luna is watching and takes the lift.Luna speaks to Eric and in a gentle grandparent method explains Cristian’s attempt to bring Eric into the real world and that he can’t just be book smart but also be street smart before explaining how Cristian never got an education and doesn’t have money because he sent it to be spent on Eric getting an education. Luna reveals she got the warehouse owner and neighbour to Cristian Tyrone and his daughter to give over some of the non-termite infested furniture to Cristian and Eric. Eric meets Tyrone’s daughter, and the two kids are clearly taken by each other.Tyrone and May leave. Eric and Cristian apologise to each other, Cristian takes Eric up to the roof to have a father son talk where they tease each other before having a father son moment interrupted by Nico running down the street getting whipped by his own belt from his romantic conquest’s angry husband.
